Can I add more drives or configure the default drives?
Absolutely - please reach out to us via a support ticket and we'll provide you with some quotes.
Can I install one of the operating systems you offer with my own partition scheme and RAID level?
Yes - although configuring the default drives will require you to boot into the Linux based Rescue System.
We highly recommend for first time users or non-sys admins that you reach out to us via a support ticket to configure any custom default drives outside of the default RAID1 configuration. We offer a free partition and RAID configuration with turnarounds of approximately one week, or a paid accelerated configuration of 24 hours.
We HIGHLY recommend using at least RAID1 for your OS!
Can I install my own operating system?
Yes - although we explicitly do not allow usage of Windows personal licenses due to Microsoft's TOS.
We can offer a KVM remote console for up to two hours to allow you to configure. Please reach out via a ticket and we can provide you with a list of times this service is available.
How long does it take for server set up?
Typically within 24 hours. Custom servers may take longer, so please account for that in your lead times - we will communicate an expected ETA for these servers.
Can I get additional IP addresses?

Do you offer backups?
We do indeed - please see our storage solutions here!
Do you offer dedicated physical LAN's?
Yes - although this does have some ramifications.
When you purchase a server with us, it is assigned a random rack unless you specify the rack you need.
You can request us to move servers to the same rack, which costs £40 per server that needs moving. We can't always guarantee there will be space in the same rack due to other clients. If that occurs, you may need to move all servers to an alternative rack.
There are two major drawbacks with server moves:

- You will lose all current IP's, and will be assigned new ones
- You will lose any subnet purchased, and will need to order a new one
You will also need to purchase an additional NIC for each server to accomodate this LAN, which comes in a few flavours, including 1G and 10GB from £5 to £30 per month. Please reach out to us for more information regarding NIC pricing.
Some server types are not moveable - these are typically bespoke servers with redundant power supplies and additional functionality tied to the rack it is in.
PLEASE NOTE - if you cancel a server and intend to replace it with another in the same rack, you MUST reach out to us beforehand! We can offer you a reservation of that rack space for a monthly fee of £10.
What is the default connection of the server and how much traffic can I use?
All dedicated servers come with 1Gbit uplink with unlimited traffic. Actual traffic performance may vary due to networking conditions.
Can we visit or get access to the data center?
No access is allowed to the data centers for security. If you need to access the server as if it were local, please ask for usage of a KVM via a support ticket.
Why can I not send any email from my server?
By default, we cannot allow access to mail ports to prevent abuse. All outgoing traffic on ports 25 and 465 is blocked by default. If you need access to these ports, please reach out via a ticket. Every ticket is evaluated on a case-by-case basis. After you've been with us for over a month, you will be able to remove the port blockages.
